In every case, the landlord insisted these were "standard" lease terms, and a big landlord broker -- who claimed to represent the tenant -- simply passed the lease on to the tenant without a single comment, hoping for a commission. Some of the most costly issues turned out to be business issues, and lawyers didn't have many comments, either.
